8 youth arrested in Keystone XL pipeline “lock-in” will speak in Boston Monday

BOSTON — The 8 youth who locked themselves inside the Westborough office of TransCanada earlier this week will speak about their action at a forum in Boston on Monday the 14th.

The youth were arrested in a peaceful protest against the company’s development of the Keystone XL pipeline, which they call “a business plan that promises to lock us into climate disaster.” Keystone XL is a proposed 1,400-mile pipeline that would transport tar sands oil from the Canadian tar sands to the Gulf of Mexico for export.

The forum, scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m., will be held at the Church on the Hill, 140 Bowdoin Square, Boston MA.
